Zzz玛琅旅舍 (Zzz Hostel Malang)

优点： It's clean, free drinking water and coffee. Okay for a transit. Welcoming staff.

优点： Zzz Malang keeps the streak alive. After Ijen, I had to try this one too. Great chill vibe in the dorm, staff are absolute gems. Bil helped me sort a last-minute Tumpak Sewu tour (unreal experience). The cat here is a little shadow, always sneaking around in the cutest way.

优点： Everything felt so smooth from the moment we booked. Got a super helpful message on WhatsApp with hostel info and food tips — made everything easy. The room was spotless, and the shared kitchen had everything we needed to cook a meal one night. Used their shuttle to Surabaya too, which was a breeze.

评价： The location of the hostel is very average. There is nothing around. You can't even buy a bucket of instant noodles... I booked a single room, but there is no air conditioning in the room. I was sweating all night... There is no toilet... There is no hot water for showering... There are many mosquitoes in the room... The room is close to the road... It feels like motorcycles are passing by your ears every time... I couldn't fall asleep all night... And I went to Mount Bromo in the early morning, but I am very grateful to the staff of the hostel for signing me up for a tour to Bromo. I had a lot of fun. Even though I didn't sleep well, I had a lot of fun! So at the end of the review, this hostel is really not good except for the good service attitude of the staff...

优点： We stayed for 2 nights and loved the relaxed, homey feeling. Not a party place — which we appreciated. The self check-in video helped when we arrived late, and Hani even checked in on us via message afterward. Also — free toiletries?? Yes please.

优点： We chose Zzz Malang after loving our stay at their Ijen branch — and it was just as amazing! Located in a chill neighborhood but still walkable to cute cafes. Lila welcomed us with warm energy and made us laugh during check-in. The room had just a fan, but honestly Malang's cool weather made it totally fine.

优点： Such a fun stay! The dorm was clean, cozy, and I met great backpackers here. Staff were always smiling and happy to help. Sasa gave awesome tips for cheap eats nearby. Took the Bromo tour through them — affordable and super smooth.

优点： Stayed 3 nights with my partner and it was honestly perfect. Calm area but just a short walk to cafes. We appreciated the self check-in video since we arrived late. Lila helped book our shuttle to Surabaya and gave us tips for what to do in town.

优点： The staff made it feel like a mini family — shared coffee in the morning and some solid convos. I booked the Tumpak Sewu tour with them, and it was absolutely worth it. Got great food tips from Hani too!

优点： Spent 2 nights here with a friend — the room was cozy and the shared bathroom was always clean. We joined the sunrise Bromo tour through the hostel and it was really well organized. Big thanks to Hani for helping with everything and even recommending a warung we loved!
