评价： The Coral Hotel is located in a new development area of Phu Quoc. It is surrounded by a number of small hotels and villas still under construction. The hotel is about 300m from Long beach near some larger hotels. There is a small shopping plaza nearby with restaurants and convenience stores. The hotel is a family run business with Carol as the host. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is new and comfortable. We were impressed with its cleanliness , The hotel provides a daily room cleaning. The hotel a free shuttle service to the local area, beach, shopping plaza, ATMs and other hotels.nThe hotel 's restaurant provides basic home cooked food with some market specials each night. The specials highlight local seafood. The Coral hotel is a 10-15 minute taxi ride to Duong Dong town and 8-10 minutes from the airport. Taxis are inexpensive and metered. We enjoyed our stay with its quiet and friendly atmosphere. Ideal for people looking for some value for money

优点： Good location in a quiet, resort-y area, close to a stop of the Vinbus 19 which can take you to the city center for free, close to the beach, and generally peaceful.nThe main staff guy who seemed to run the place was kind and nice and greeted us every time. He also helped with a motorcycle rental, offered airport pickup service and was generally informative and resourceful.nThe hotel is good value for money though with many but-s, see below.

缺点： I had booked a month in advance and they still somehow messed up the room for check in on the first night. I try to give the benefit of the doubt when possible - probably an honest mistake, though a bad one still. We were checked into a different room as if it's the correct one - only after I went downstairs to ask did staff tell me it's a mistake and will be remedied the next day.nThen they moved us to the correct room which was only half-cleaned. Fridge dirty, under the bed dust and sand, terrace dirty, bathroom dirty. I mean, if you screw up, you try extra hard to please the next day, no? This was unfortunately a common occurrence in the way that room cleaning was never complete, neither of the times we requested during our 25 days there. Trash was frequently forgotten, floor not swiped, terrace never attended to, bathroom only half clean, dust ignored, towels with holes, etc.nnTalking about housekeeping - what is it with entering the room without knocking??? Absolutely unacceptable even if there is a note requesting cleaning. The standard in the industry is to knock, declare Housekeeping and open only after you're certain nobody is inside. Instead, staff here just used their master card to enter without any warning.nnnThen the bathtub - it's smallish, but that's not really the problem - it was broken on arrival. The host promised to call a mechanic to fix the plug but one never came. We ended up using a plastic bag and a ceramic cup to plug it. It is a make-do but in no way meets expectations from a hotel.nnThe internet was very spotty and I ended up going to cafes/hotels nearby to work. One time it was gone for a full day - shit happens, I understand, but proactive notice is expected - I had to ask explicitly for information regarding it.nSame thing with that one time the water stopped. No proactive notice - staff shrugged it off like it's not a big deal and that we should go wash in the showers near the pool.
