We spent three nights at the Watermark Beachside. The hotel is located on a small cul-de-sac near the beach. There are also quiet restaurants on the street.

The hotel is an oasis of calm. It is very nice and airy. The breakfast was very good, and the rooms were also very nice and bright, with a controllable fan, air conditioning, safe, and TV (which we did not turn on).

The hotel is run by two sisters. We had already read that they can help you choose a tailor. There are probably 400 in the city. We didn’t want to spend our time looking for a tailor, and I was afraid that we would spend our days trying on dresses in the city. Well, one of the two sisters had worked at the biggest tailor in town for over 10 years before they built the hotel. She offered to handle the selection of clothes, patterns, and fabrics, as well as taking the measurements, in the hotel. The fittings could also be done at the hotel. We gladly accepted the suggestion. It was all very professional. She had photo books with samples. However, my daughter had a pretty clear idea of what she wanted. She had a photo of a dress on her phone but wanted the shoulders and sleeves to be different from the photo. That was no problem at all. The design was sketched out. The lady could do that. The fabric was then selected. There were lots of fabric samples and some bolts to choose from. I then had a shirt made for myself, where I could also choose everything myself, including the collar and fabric. My daughter also had a pair of trousers made using a photo from the pattern book. The measurements were taken very quickly. You could tell that it was routine and that she had done it thousands of times before. The garments were then available for the first fitting the next day, and minor corrections to the fit and length were discussed. They were ready the next day. Everything fit perfectly. Top-notch!

In retrospect, I was glad to have used the hotel’s tailoring service.

Modern, spacious, clean in a great location.

However the main difference was the excellent hosts, Thuy and Ha, who looked after everything we needed in an incredibly efficient and friendly manner.

On top of that Thuy (who has great experience in the fashion business) was able to measure me and my partner and arrange for a fantastic tailored classic evening jacket for me, and a pair of stylish linen pants for him. Ready in 48hours! we will definitely return when we can 🙂 (and bring emptier suitcases)

– Tanya was a exceptional host, very passionate about her hotel and ensuring you have the best stay.
– Breakfast was super, a good selection of fresh items that are pre-ordered the evening before. The best pineapple juice we’ve ever had. Options range from beef Pho right through to Avocado on Toast.
– The room was huge, well thought out and as ascetically pleasing.
– The pool was very clean and the area was beautiful and relaxing and “cute” at night
– Laundry was affordable and quick turnaround.
– The beach is a minutes walk away and surprisingly nice and clean.
– Good number of affordable bars and restaurants (we went to Mr Hoà’s Kitchen and The Tamarinde Tree, Baby Mustard)
– Free cycle hire to explore the picturesque rice paddies, local area. Or to cycle to Hoi An old town, busy road but there are cycle lanes surprisingly.
– Can get a grab from the end of the road in to Hoi An old town for about 75k VND (10 minute journey), we would recommend staying in An Bang beach and then travelling to Hoi An during the day or evening.

Watermark staff couldn’t have been any more wonderful than they were. So helpful and friendly! The hotel is charming, comfortable and in a great location. It’s in a darling little neighbourhood and just a short walk to the beach. We rode their bicycles into Hoi An one day, and the other days a grab bike or car was so easy to get around. The hotel arranged an afternoon of activities at the coconut river, which was so fun. They have a tailor in town they recommend that gets you 5% discount. The clothes we had made were of excellent quality. This hotel is truly wonderful – be sure to stay!

This place is special and has great energy. Rooms are spacious, pool is super clean, breakfast is awesome and the owners are so kind. Loved the location and so glad we didn’t stay in the Ancient town and visited from here, it is super hot in town and here is just a cool breeze. Taxi is 5 minute ride and always available. The Shore Club and Deckhouse restaurants right next door are first class. Beautiful beach. The narrow streets throughout the neighborhood are magical. We also used there shuttle to the Airport, it was actually cheaper and so easy. Thank you!
