Review: Awesome staff too!
Positive points: Fabulous owners staff, facilities, and , of course, the view! I can’t say enough about the helpfulness and friendliness of Robert, the owner, and his family. Ilhan and Aziz(?spelling?) were great to talk with and very attentive. Wonderful people all around!
Negative points: Nothing. Some may find fault with the distance to the city and means of getting there, but for me, the peace and quiet were much appreciated.
Positive points: Amazing host, comfortable beds and the hospitality they provided just simply amazing. We will come back for sure!
Negative points: Nothing in specific, just the host can spray the room with insects repellent. But no worries, robert took a quick and super fast decision once we made a complaints.

Positive points: Excellent location about 10 minutes away from Padang. After spending some time in the traffic of Padang, it is refreshing to get there and admire the ocean from the terrace. The family running the business is lovely and willing to help with anything needed. The price is very honest. 5 minutes walk from the property there's a nice bar with a restaurant.
Review: My only complaint was that the Agoda adverts specified the room as including an AC. Just be mindful that they do not. It was fairly okay with just the fan, if not on the hot side. Otherwise Rob, the British owner is a solid well-informed family man running a clean and cozy joint. Eating options are a little ways out, but scooter rental available on the premises. Good vibes and maybe better views. Clientele mostly other foreigners.
Positive points: Safe, clean, simple accommodations with amazing view! Owner and his family were extremely helpful with transportation, information on the area, and options for activities and dining.

Positive points: Really comfortable place. Great seating outside with an excellent view. Very kind hosts. They made delicious food for us to eat for several meals, always adding in something extra. Breakfast was great.rnrnVery helpful when we were worried about not being able to get a Grab.rnrnComfortable beds.
Negative points: When the power went out, they didn't have any lights for us to use. I don't mind the power going out, it's SE Asia it's bound to happen, but having a lamp for each room so that we didn't have to use our phone light would've been more comfortable.rnrnIt was a bit far from anything. We had a short stay, but for longer it would've been a shame to not be able to get to town without a scooter or taxi.

Review: Thanks to Robert, originally from the UK and his wife Mani who helped make my visit to Pandang more interesting with their helpful advice on the local area even when I asked, they introduced me to a tailor who made a shirt for me to their tasty food. I would recommend The View Homestay.
Positive points: The hospitality is great! Easy communication with the host. Robert was great at getting back to me with questions I had. The place is very clean, comfortable bed. I had an excellent meal there. Hot shower. The view is beautiful. The place is located in a more secluded area, not near the city but very close to the ferry.
