The Sangju Hotel Seoul

Review: This is a ok hotel, 6/10. Cleanliness is satisfactory but sign of wear and tear is showing. Breakfast is great though. And, it's very quick and near cab ride to Lotte World, COEX mall, Seongsu-dong and Dongdaemun. A bit far for Myeong-dong.

Positive points: Breakfast is amazing. Very nice front desk staff. Good location for food, entertainment, and access to public transportation.

Review: I like the Jamsil neighbourhood, a bit away from the touristy attractions, and more local restaurants and shops around the hotel and near Lotte World so I booked it. The hotel is alright, a bit run down, especially the rooms, and dust underneath the bed and near the corners of the rooms. They ran out of bath towels so we had 1 towel for 3 people to share per room or we had to use the small towels instead, which was not ideal. In the meantime, we can find lots of towels piled up at the staircase so it is a bit puzzling to me. Breakfast times need to be picked at check-in because of the limited number of tables at the breakfast area, while, the taste of the food is nice with korean strawberries a big plus for us and the kids. For a 3 star hotel, it is just average, and unfortunately would not stay again if I come to Seoul.

Positive points: Good value, had everything we needed. Nice breakfast buffet with plenty of variety. Excellent location.
