After a long 15-hour journey, I was looking forward to a well-deserved rest, but upon entering the room, I was shocked by its condition.rnrnThe room was in an utterly unhygienic and unacceptable state:rn- Cobwebs and spiders were present in the corners.rn- There were visible cracks and stains on the walls.rn- Mold and heavy limescale buildup were found in the bathroom.rn- The bedding was stained, including suspicious marks that appeared unhygienic and inappropriate.rn- A pillow had a noticeable ink or paint stain.rn- No toilet paper providedrnrnIt was immediately clear that staying in such conditions was not an option. The cleanliness level was far below any reasonable standard, and the room bore no resemblance to the images shown online. In fact, the environment gave more the impression of a short-stay love hotel rather than a proper accommodation for travelers.rnrnI approached the reception to cancel my booking. Although the receptionist didn’t speak English, I repeatedly said “cancel” until he understood. He refunded my 100,000 IDR deposit in cash, and removed my name from the check-in list. I have not slept a single night in that hotel. rnrnI had no choice but to find an alternative hotel immediately, which cost significantly more than my original booking.rnrnI hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves the hygiene and transparency of their listings.

Điểm trừ: The toilet and the room were not particularly sanitary. We also had a terrible experience with the payment procedure. They verified that credit card payments could be made while corresponding online. Unfortunately, they told us right before we arrived that they didn't have a card reader, so we could only pay with cash. In order to ensure that future visitors do not have similar problems, it is necessary to improve information regarding payment choices. This last-minute change was inconvenient.

Điểm trừ: I asked if housekeeping could refill the soap dispenser but noone turned up. Not an issue really for the price paid, but it seems odd after saying they normally refill the soap dispenser that noone came. So best bring your own soap ans shampoo. Also they do not provide hangars- again not a big issue, but it would be nice to have a few hangars on the rack. rnThere is an restaurant in the 6th floor which seems connected to the hotel- open 24 hours. The buffet looks like food has been sitting there a long time, but they did a fresh nasi goreng which was tasty. I would suggest they tidy up the place as it is very messy looking. They have a lot of potential to do more with this space to attract more people to come in for food as night time nothing much open in the market area- closes by 5pm.. unless you are looking for KFC or fine to walk more towards Jl. Braga.rnrnA strange thing happened with a charge n my credit card- obviously meant to be a guarantee hold. The notifcation from my bank said the charge was from OYO... which surprised me because technically Booking com should not be providing open credit card info to hotels as customers are well protected from charging if not present to enter a PIN. But somehow a charge went thru and communicating with Booking com was also odd to ask to clarify who actually processed the charge. The hotel claims it was from Booking com as OYO Hotel only accepts cash. rnIn the meantime, the charge was credited back... so will find out later on my monthly statement who actually made the charge. I am fine to prepay via Booking com when necesssary but not happy of Booking com is providing open credit card details to vendors in Indonesia.
