Mint Homestay – Thanh Hóa

Điểm cộng: Great family running the place. Very kind and helpful. I was having trouble finding a place to eat and they took me to a place near by and made sure I got the food I wanted. So kind!

This place is great for a night or two if you’re passing by on a motor.

Điểm cộng: The friendliness of the owner, family & staff who went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. There is a cafe on the ground floor and I was offered free coffees every morning . I never used the kitchen facilities, washing machine but I believe it’s on the upper floor. Location is perfect and the city is safe and walkable. I happened to be there when they set up the Bonsai Garden on the main square . Plenty of nearby restaurants. A few minutes from the railway station.

Điểm cộng: I've been staying in Vietnam for two months now, mostly a different town each day as I am cycle touring Vietnam. Mint and Miss Ha the owner exceeded all other places I have stayed at in Vietnam and also in my 50 plus years of travel and I cannot think of anywhere that has given me such a warm, friendly, nothing is too great welcome.

Điểm cộng: Ha is the most welcoming person and I felt at home immediately. My room was spotless, as was the bathroom and I like the little landing areas to chill in. The coffee shop was great, really nice coffee and the food was amazing. Its also in a very quiet and peaceful part of town but within walking distance to shops.

Điểm cộng: As a solo bicycle tourist, this was the perfect spot! Ha took amazing care of me, welcoming me with a smile and a variety of teas. The place is immaculate, quiet, and comfortable. Ha also connected me with other bikers that had passed through the days before, creating a great little community in Vietnam for me.

Điểm cộng: Everyone was very friendly, I stayed one night and everything was good. Clean and quiet.

Điểm cộng: Just wow! What a hospitality and nice family. I came here just with the intention of trying to find a way into Laos from Thanh Hoa. Thu ha was helpful from the first messages I send regarding transport and assisting in possibilities to get to Laos

When arriving, the welcome was very warm even though there was a language barrier. Got a nice homemade lunch and after that I got invited to join the cousin of Thu at the place where she works and she showed us around at an ecological leisure park in Thanh Hoa.

The next day, Thu guided us around to some important touristic spots. Later the cousin and father joined us for visiting temples around Thanh Hoa. Finishing off with a nice lunch at the family house.

The touristic spots mean: local/Vietnamese touristic spots. They were very beautiful, interesting, had meaningful historic value a
nd it allowed me to get to know Vietnam away from the usual touristic path. The people in Thanh Hoa are so nice, friendly and open.

If you are looking for an authentic homestay, want to get away from the usual touristic places in Vietnam and get to know authentic Vietnam then book a stay with this wonderful and so hospital family! You will not regret it. It will be one of your best experiences in Vietnam!

I regret leaving and hope to be back one day!

Also Than Hòa is nice to see.
The room was very tidy and clean. There is also a kitchen which can be used and a Coffee in the morning.

Điểm cộng: Everything, is a real homestay. I meet mostly all the family. They will make you feel home from the first moment. Clean room, nice coffee, walls and paintings are beautiful.
