We stayed here for two nights to celebrate my friend's birthday. Mama Kim baked a cake and picked some flowers - sooo lovely :)
We also got veggie options for dinner!

Positive points: We had a delightful stay! Mama Kim was always looking out for us to ensure we had everything we needed. She was very resourceful in communicating despite our limited Vietnamese. We enjoyed a lovely home-cooked meal & she was able to accommodate dietary requirements (vegan). Kim also helped us to book the boat tickets - we would recommend this, it was very easy!

Positive points: In a stunning location Mama Kim is the most welcoming and friendly host you can find. Comfortable beds with good air conditioning we felt at home instantly. Mama Kim cooks amazing food, some of the best we’ve had in Vietnam. If you come to Cham Island this is the only place you should be choosing. If I could rate it 11/10 i would.

Positive points: Mama Kim's Homestay is a lovely way of getting out into nature and away from buzzing Hoi An. Mama Kim offers a variety of activities through her neighbors, and there are a good amount of affordable restaurants for lunch right nearby. We learned about village life, made some friends, and had many interesting conversations with the ineffable Mama Kim (with the help of Google Translate, which worked fine). We enjoyed having breakfast and dinner with fellow travelers at the Homestay. We relied on the motorbike drivers who initially drop you off at the Homestay to get around the island (esp. Rāy Ông Bàng, which has great food & coffee and serves as a home base for nicer beaches). Rarely met this many nice people in just 2.5 days, which felt like a lifetime away from stress. We hope to be back one day!

Positive points: By far the best homestay I’ve stayed at in my entire life. The amounts of love we got from mama kim kept away any trace of homesickness. This truly felt like my new home. She cooked way too much food for us, just like my own grandma. And the food was great. The greatest I’ve had in Vietnam. Everyone should go to Smile Island!

Positive points: To stay with Mama Kim was a part of the holiday experience we will remember forever! She is such a warm person with the best energy. She makes excellent food, and it feels like a home away from home.
She barely speaks English, but gestures and Google translate manages almost everything, and her daughter who speaks English is available on WhatsApp.
It it was it it, don’t expect any luxury, but the experience is so worth it! Mama Kim will always be in our hearts ❤️.

Positive points: The property is in a small cozy village that gives you a very local feeling. The host, mama Kim, is the loveliest lady! She cooked delicious food and was super sweet and helpful always.
