I recently had a very pleasant stay at Greatwood Residence serviced apartment. The apartment was not only clean but also well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable, home-like stay.

One of the highlights was the in-unit washing machine, dryer, and iron board which made doing laundry incredibly convenient. The apartment also came fully stocked with kitchen utensils such as plates, bowls, spoons, and other essentials, allowing me to easily enjoy my own take away meals. This level of convenience made my stay feel much more like home.

The attention to detail in providing these utilities made my stay stress-free and enjoyable. I would highly recommend Greatwood Residence to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-equipped place to stay.

They upgraded our room into a 2 queen bed apartment. It was spacious and more than enough for us family of 3. The kitchenette is equipped with everything. Spoon, fork, cups, pans, induction cooker, microwave, cleaning supplies, and there is even a washer and dryer. There is also a mini dining area. In the reception area, there are also free coffee and tea for the guests.

The beds are great. We had a good sleep. The bathroom was also spacious and there are a lot of hanging spaces. Only thing missing was a bidet.

There was also a working area in the room for those working from home. A cabinet and set of drawers are available as well. Only problem he had in the room was the tv. My mother wanted to watch Netflix but the shows would not load. Sometimes the Wifi is a little slow.

Luan, the front desk receptionist was very kind and accommodating. She helped us a lot during our stay. Overall, this was a nice and comfortable stay for us.

Everything is top notch despite the building being on the older side. The big size of the room, the things provided in it (washing machine, kitchenette, shower, toilet, etc.) and most importantly the service of its staff led by Loana!!

We’ll be back here again soon when we come to SG again later this year as well as in our future trips to the island.

When we checked in, our floor was covered in a layer of dust. I told reception about it and they told me to just wait with the dirty floors for a few days until the cleaners would come by. I thought this was ridiculous; asking us to put up with a dirt for a few days despite us paying for a room. When I asked reception to provide another pair of slippers so we wouldn’t get our feet dirty while we waited for the room to be cleaned, they made a big deal and initially refused. I had to plead with them; I really don’t understand why they think it’s ok to let us stay in a dirty room for a few days and not even give us slippers.

Later on in the week, we came back after a cleaning day to find our room was wet AND dirty. There were streaks of brown, wet dirt across the room which we initially thought was sewage. I went downstairs to tell them that the room was even filthier and once again reception didn’t help – they just said ‘but we cleaned it today’. I called the number downstairs and the person on the end of line (who refused to tell me who they were) said they’d bring somebody by. 5 minutes later we hear a knock on the door and open to a lady yelling at us in Chinese. She refused to speak English to me, but luckily my partner was able to communicate with her. She gaslit us, saying she herself cleaned the room and she doesn’t know what we’re talking about. We put a towel on the floor, wiped it up, and showed her the towel: it was covered in brown streaks. She replied in Chinese “I did my job, I don’t know what you want of me”. But it’s hard to argue with the brown towel – it was clearly muddy. She then offered to re-mop our room, which we accepted. She came back with a soaking wet mop (and no bucket), and mopped our room again. Unsurprisingly, the mophead itself was dirty and it’s clear to see she just nominally ‘mops’ the rooms without ringing the mop, essentially dragging dirt around from room to room. Her second mopping of the room didn’t leave it much cleaner than the first. We knew it wouldn’t get any better, so we resigned to the situation – luckily we were checking out the next day.

I’d very much not recommend this place – whoever owns it is clearly making a lot of money but not putting in the effort to make the experience comfortable for guests. A ‘I don’t give a crap’ attitude was displayed by both receptionists and by the cleaning lady. Stay away if you can.

The property is amazing with big rooms (as compared to what you find in SG) and a location to die for (metro station is literally 5 min walking and a 24 hr departmental store is just round the corner. The check-in and check-out was seamless as well. Staff is super helpful. Only downside is that the cleaning takes place only twice a week.
