Negative points: no breakfast, no receptionist except the security who assisted us

Negative points: Only one staff member on site who couldn’t speak English and couldn’t read Vietnamese. Google translator didn’t help since they couldn’t read

Negative points: Shower hot water runs out very fast, so hope you like cold showers. Must space out showers for two people. Unexcusable for this price

Negative points: The shower haven’t curtain so the water licked in the floor.

Negative points: There was a flickering light that didn't turn off and the staff didn't understand anything we said so it was very frustrating

Negative points: Still under construction. Dust everywhere. Must go through garage to second elevator to get to rental units. Loud construction noise throughout the whole day. Pressured to pay cash to security guard when told over whatsapp that they do accept credit card. Charged an extra 4% fee to pay with a credit card when pressed. I got very sick and ended up in a hospital with pneumonia while staying there. No air purifier, lots of dust in air. Stayed a week and was only given 2 bottles of water during the whole stay and no cleaning done while there. Hot water does not last long and then must be turned off and on again to be refilled. It has very little to no soundproofing. Tea kettle was old with calcium type stains. No soap for dishes or detergent for washing machine.

Negative points: The shower wasn’t great

Negative points: Chaotic arrival. No one on reception. One lady took us to an apartment. Security man then arrived to tell me it was wrong and moved me to another. He also insisted I pay cash, despite other payment options listed on booking.com. He offered to take me to an ATM! Thankfully I had cash, but I've never experienced this before. nAfter settling in, security guard and the lady both arrived back to tell me I should move back to the first apartment! I refused another move. nThe security guard was already in my room, and lifting my bags. I insisted he leave them. Thankfully my daughter, who speaks vietnamese was present. The guard and the lady went away. The lady then returned to say it was 'ok'. Not really the best start to my holiday after 18 hrs in 2 planes!nBut, it got worse - at 10.20 pm I was lying in bed reading and a man entered my apartment! He was able to access via the security pin on the door. Pretty shocking really. I shouted at him and he left. I messaged the property, but as yet (3 days later) no one had bothered to reply. nAll in all, a pretty negative experience, and if it was my first experience of Hanoi, it would be my last. Thankfully, I have many positives over many visits.

Negative points: I may have been unlucky, but I was left waiting for 1 hour to check-in to my room. This happened after providing my arrival time on booking.com. There is no actual check-in counter, just a sitting area in the lobby of the building. The phone number for the reception contact person did not work, and after the first day of my visit, I saw the contact info in the lobby was removed. Hopefully this gets fixed for future visitors.
