Umma Bali Menjangan Retreat

Positive points: Very relaxing property. There are 4 bungalows set in peaceful rice fields. My bungalow was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast next to the pool was good. Staff was nice and helpful. I stayed here for 2 nights to relax after some adventures in Java and was really pleased with my choice to stay here.

Positive points: The general atmosphere and surroundings here are wonderfully relaxing. Stunning lush rural scenery from every angle in the grounds, from the warm pool and from the little porch of the cabin. Our host Made and his family are very welcoming, friendly and attentive without being in any way intrusive. Made's English is excellent and we had some interesting conversations about life in northern Bali. Breakfast was simple but delicious. We only had dinner there one night but it was very nice. There are also several other decent options for dining out in the local area, some within walking distance.
The location was very convenient for our diving activities which departed from the little Sumberkima harbour just down the road.
Loved the outdoor bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. Also highly recommend the massage service available.

Positive points: We had a phenomenal stay at Made’s place. He is one of a kind host that is always willing to help. The place is gorgeous, and the pool was great. Breakfast was excellent too. We enjoyed chatting with Made, and learning about Bali and its traditions.

Positive points: on a beautiful river plantation. great hosts. great service with a smile all the time. warm and welcoming.

Positive points: Unbelievably special hotel with the kindest host! I’ve stayed in some pretty luxurious and fancy hotels in my life (Ritz Carlton, The Edition) and I can honestly say that this place beats them all. The view from the villas and pool is breathtaking. The attention to detail is impressive. And I really can’t overstate how kind and helpful the host (Made) and his family are. This part of Bali is also so much more authentic and less touristy than the hot spots down south. You will not regret booking here. We are already planning our trip back.

Review: Almost perfect on everything, the cons only when i stayed there the paddy field has been already harvest so no green anymore

Positive points: Everything is clean, breathtaking view towards the paddy field and mountains, fresh air with enjoyable pool and garden. Cool AC, fascinating outdoor bath. Lovely stay at this retreat!

Positive points: The owner Made made us feel very at home and very well taken care of. He's very knowledgeable about the area, and experienced. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable with strong Aircon and a great bathroom, and the pool right outside outside our room was beautiful. The area is very peaceful.
