Review: Always back.. very nice resort
Positive points: The Menjangan is an amazing place to stay. Immersed in the national park - you get to the best of the jungle and beach. The staff are absolutely phenomenal and very kind. Their facilities are spotless. The wildlife is everywhere, and you take a bus between the beach and the main lobby which provides an amazing chance to see wildlife too. The monkeys are very clever so make sure to listen to the staff when they tell you to lock your doors! The resort is also near town, which is a great place to go and get local food. Highly recommend staying here.
Review: Perfect location for a long weekend getaway. Woke up to sound of waves gently lapping the shore. Only 30 paces from the bed, my feet were already in water. Spotted monkeys and deer on the beach at sunrise. Rode through lush peaceful wilderness on horseback. Swam along mangroves. Highly recommend !!
Positive points: The Room, the Facilities, Transfer, staff, activities and overall experience!
Negative points: I wish the food can be better, it should be improved
Review: It's wonderful property and worth taking experience to stay and enjoy the warmth and hospitality over there.
Positive points:
Nice room, very comfortable bed and pillows.
Many nice details for the guests, like welcome drink , cold towel, personal card in the room… and more.
The staff lovely, they make turn down.
The food is amazing good.
The massage experience very good also
The only thing I didn’t like , I arrive and the place wasn’t the one I thought.
If I knew all the room look at the middle pool I won’t choose this accommodation.
Anyway lucky me, the kids go bed early and no noisy person.
Negative points:
Why you didn’t calm this resort The Monsoon..? It is very confusing. The name is the Mejangan Monsoon.
The photos you see on maps is of other place. I was disappointed about this.
If you look to the photos on maps of The Mejangan Monsoon are different.
Review:
The staff couldn’t have been nicer. We came to the area for one night to see the elusive shy and gentle black monkey which only lives in the National Park. The hotel arranged for the park ranger to pick us up and take us to the area of the park where they live. About 20 minutes away. We were lucky and saw 4 troops- so about 20 total. Wow!
We upgraded to a beach villa and that’s where the restaurant is located. The regular rooms are far away up the hill and you get there by a safari bus. Stay on the beach. You must lock your doors because the gray monkeys come early in the morning to hunt for crabs and they check to open your door for the fruit and cookies the hotel gives you. They are a bit forward so be cautious.
Beautiful natural setting. It’s HOT and HUMID on the West Coast. You are 30 minutes to the ferries to Java (1 hr 15 mins) and the ferry runs 24 hours. It’s a car/truck/passenger ferry. Next time we would take a day trip over there.
Positive points: All the staff was very kind & attentive. The food was great as were all the facilities.
Review: thats saying a lot since ive been to many hotel
Positive points: The Menjangan by LifestyleRetreats was amazing - the staff, location, activities and our room were so great. We stayed in The Residence which had stunning views over the bay from each room and even more amazing from the infinity pool. The restaurant food was excellent and I can’t recommend doing the Balinese Cooking Class enough - a private cooking class over the mangroves with the friendliest head chef!! We also did snorkeling (so much beautiful coral reef and fish so close, only 20-30mins) and jungle trekking (a nice chance to see more of the property and some of the animals - giant black squirrels were a highlight!).
Review: Amazing nature, thoughtfully and innovatively designed accomodations with conservation clearly in mind, held together by sincere and joyful service
Positive points: We had an amazing stay, very friendly staff good English speaking, even the trainees. Food was great. Beautiful scenery.
Negative points: The rocky road could be maintained and the forest gym needs some reparation.
Review: Nice hotel, friendly staff. Nature ambience..really love it. You must try to stay in this hotel. Thank you for your hospitality Mr Syafi i
Positive points: The staff took great care of us and often showed personal interest in our needs.
Positive points:
Everything! The place, the staff, the room
A little paradise
Negative points: Nothing at all
Review:
Stayed with 10 year old. Needs in-house shuttle to get around. Snorkling at jetty is fun. Breakfast is ala carte
so can order 1 time for each category of breakfast. National Park very dry and hot hence doesn't feel the green. Maybe need to visit after the rainy season. Service is good especially housekeeping.
Positive points: We stayed at The Residency which was a 3 house facility with a large private pool overlooking the ocean. Views were stunning. Plenty of room in the comfortable houses. They were kind of rustic but this was not a problem as they were well maintained and had a charm. The views were stunning. The grounds were great with lots of privacy and bicycles were made available to us and included for no extra charge - they also had Jurassik Park style vehicles that would pick you up and I was told I could use a motorscooter but never got around to it. In the park there was a restaurant where we had dinner but we had them bring breakfast to us which we shared with our guests in the central meeting room where they had a kitchen and a TV - both of which we didn't really use but it was nice to have them. We did use the large porch where we did yoga in the morning. I don't want to forget the 'butlers' who were there 24 hours and attended our every need including answering questions about the area and different possibilities that were open to us. My own regret was not staying longer - if you have the $$ and the time. Stay for a week you won't be sorry.
Negative points: Couldn't stay long enough. Adoh.
