Thalassa Dive & Wellbeing Resort Manado

Positive points: Peaceful location in the jungle. We arrive at 11pm due to weather delays after a day of travel with no food. They left a lovely meal for us in our room. As we vents unfolded re delayed flights we had great communication with them via Whats App.

Positive points: All of the staff went out of their way to make it a very enjoyable stay. They seemed to honestly be happy I was there.

Positive points: This is neither a luxury or a budget resort. It is a very good middle ground resort and that is their business niche which is important in that there are several very expensive resorts at one end of the resort spectrum and home stays at the other end. This is positioned right in the middle and perfect for divers that want to experience coral and muck diving. Their motto is leave as a friend and they meet that goal. Staff are great.

Review: We visited the Manado and Lembeh resorts. Both are idyllic. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food (we're vegan), was outstanding! nDive equipment isn't the newest, but it functions well enough, and most visitors seem to be dive specialists with their own gear anyway, and dives are competitively priced.nCommunication prior to our stay was excellent, and manager, Arjen's sense of humour , was a great bonus! Simone, Arjen and the rest of the team have had a few challenges with COVID and the recent volcano disruptions. We loved our stay and wish them all the best for the future.

Positive points: My wife and I do a lot of traveling and I must say the Thalassa Dive Resort does it right. The food is plentiful and fresh, the grounds are well kept, the bungalows and villas are comfortable, and there is world class wall and muck diving minutes away. However, the real gem at Thalassa are the genuinely friendly staff. The manager Arjen personally took the time to find out our interests and provided with top notch concierge service arranging all of our activities during our stay, along with joining us for some meals and taking us on a tour of Manado. The rest of the staff made us feel like part of their family with endless smiles and lots of conversation. One of the young ladies even joined us on a dive on her day off work. We can’t wait until our next visit.

Review: I had a restful, rejuvenating time at Thalassa. The resort is beautiful and has a calming presence, set in the midst of nature. It’s full board so you never have to worry about finding food or deciding what to eat. Hassle-free! Food is also very yummy :) they have a menu of you would need to order more. nnStaff were very friendly and I was lucky enough to spend some meals with founder Simone & manager Arjen who shared about their various life experiences and their journey to getting the resort up and running. Was very inspired by their stories :) nnDiving was good too! Staff were helpful and always happily singing. Surface intervals were always at a nice beach with lunch packed for you (if you’re doing 3 dives). nnHighly recommend to stay here!

Positive points: Fantastic private location. Very close to Manado and island transport. The resort is supported by amazing staff.

Review: Tôi đã sẵn sàng cho mọi thứ 5 sao nếu không có sự cố mất điện - điều này không phải lỗi của khu nghỉ dưỡng, nhưng nó đã cản trở cơ hội để tôi trải nghiệm khu nghỉ dưỡng một cách tốt nhất. Đồ ăn ngon, xen kẽ giữa hương vị địa phương và ẩm thực phương Tây.nnTổng thể, đây là một trải nghiệm tuyệt vời - tôi chắc chắn rằng nó sẽ còn tốt hơn nếu có điện bình thường để có thể nhìn thấy khu vực với ánh sáng đầy đủ! :)

Simone and her staff spoiled us completely.rnThe restaurant was exceptional, both in variety and quality of the meals!rnWe also had great dives at the beautiful Bunaken dive sites with the crew of the Thalassa Dive Center who made sure that our diving experience was great.rnThe bungalows at the new Thalassa resort are spacious, have great terraces and are a joy to stay in.

Positive points: Simone, Maria, Ranty and the dive crew made it flawless.nnfrom the moment we arrived we fell in love with the tropical green paradise they have created.nThe lovely ladies at reception running to get us mosquito spray and offering to lend us their bikes shows their commitment to guest’s happiness and their beautiful kind hearts.nThe stunning freshwater pool that is not only the perfect temperature to cool down but is surrounded by bird song and lush gardens with flowers and canopies to admire as you float.nThe rooms with their glass jungle views and lovely comfy beds!nThe children adored their meal times with a game of pool on the side. Every meal was delicious and served with a smile.nThen when we took our boat trips the Thalassa crew were full of sunshine smiles and laughter. Great companions for snorkelling, diving and jumping off the boat with the children. Creating memories we will never forget.
