Positive points: Good location for train station access. Nice room and furnisings. Friendly staff.
Negative points: The breakfast offerings might have been heaven's delight for local tastes but it offered very little for Western breakfast preferenances (no eggs, potatoes, meats, cheese, yougart, bagels, muffins, etc.). Most of it was what one would consider lunch (rice or noodles with various toppings).
Positive points: Was truly delightful experience thanks to the exceptional staff. I must commend the team for their excellent hospitality, which was truly the best part of my stay. The staff members were incredibly accommodating, warm, and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my visit.
Negative points: Unfortunately, I noticed that the room cleanliness fell short of expectations during my stay. Additionally, the housekeeping staff often forgot to set up the bathmat and provide adequate guest amenities. The bathmat provided was more akin to a hand towel due to its thin and unsatisfactory quality.
Positive points: The hotel is close to Malioboro, train station and other tourist places. The room is ok.
Negative points: As a light sleeper, this hotel was a nightmare. I struggled to fall asleep due to the hotel's close proximity to the train station, where the noise from trains was very noticeable.
Positive points: The Riss is a lovely hotel with good facilities. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The pool is smaller than it shows in the photos, but still very pleasant.
Negative points: The breakfast was an additional price and quite expensive, so on the second morning we ended up walking up the road to try and find something to eat. We had one evening meal in the restaurant, which was truly horrible.
