Positive points: Very decent local place, lots of european and australian backpackers coming by, strong wifi, super nice owner, lots of small shops around, very recommended for short stays

Positive points: Everything. Nothing to complain about. The room was really clean and cozy. Bayu the host is amazing, he took me around the city and I had a great time with him. I recommend everyone to stay here and to meet Bayu, he also organize trips to meet the local tribes to the Mentawai islands. Highly recommend. I'll definitely come back again

Positive points: This is a real home stay, probably the best in West Sumatra. The family members are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We could only stay three nights and wished we could stay longer. The rooms are clean, basic, and comfortable.

Positive points: Bayu, the owner, is a studied Anthropologist, and has got very close relationships with original Mentawai people. Besides of that, he represents the best of a Homestay by a warm personal and inviting atmosphere to his guests.

Review: I highly recommend Padang Homestay. The rooms are very clean and spacious, with AC. It's a quiet environment, and the staff is very nice. They offer free coffee, tea, and water, and the Wi-Fi is working well.

Positive points: I loved the location, you really get a sense of local life. It's a neighbourhood just outside the city (at best a $3 Gojek ride into the centre or cheaper if you take local transport) and there is a school. Food here is cheap, and everyone is so friendly asking if you're staying with Jenny and Bayu. rnWifi is fast. And Jen is fantastic for information from a foreigner perspective and Bayu is a guide and knows so much. Both are so friendly and accommodating. Because I love food they organized a cooking class with a woman around the corner and Jen came along to translate. We first went to the market, where everyone wanted to stop, chat, take selfies and then I was amazing at the cooking. Neighbours came by to chat and more selfies! This is really a special experience.

Review: There are many cheaper accomodations in Padang, although most of the accomodations available in Agoda are way too expensive. I suggest looking around and asking in person, you will find better rooms for much less. The best part of this accomodation was the owner who is very friendly.

Review: This homestay is good for solo backpackers , and room also clean. the most important is this homestay close to airport around 15-30 min depend on traffic. The owner also good :)
