Metropole, Bangkok, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Review: I booked a king bed room, in the photo it has a bathtub, but when I checked in I was assigned a room with only standing shower, and it was also a room designed for people with disabilities, first impression was not good already.
The hotel's furniture is old, not only because it's vintage style, but their condition is really too old. Even The towels in my room looked like they had been used for a few years, some were even torn. The bathroom always smells of cigarettes due to a bad air filtration system. I think there is another room that smokes and affects our room. The breakfast buffet is oh my god, it's worse than the 3-star hotels I stayed in in my hometown, Vietnam. The main dish only has about 5 dishes, there are only a few salads, there is no cold meat line, in general I think the hotel needs to improve the interior of the rooms, towels and even the breakfast buffet. Too bad to come back next time. Please really consider before booking. I booked 4 nights, and after check in, , too upset to feedback anything to the staff there, but i think everyone should know about it and not making wrong decision like me.
And the location is not convenient to BTS or MRT too. Cant walk to BTS, FYI.
But they have friendly staffs, all of them always greeting with smiles and give us warm welcome.
