Marina Bay Sands

Review: I stayed in a suite room with my family, including my wife and two sons (13 and 10 years old). Our room faced the east side, overlooking Gardens by the Bay. You can enjoy views of Marina Bay from the pool, so they arranged our room on the east side to match that. The highway runs right next to the hotel, making it very accessible. If you take a taxi from the hotel, it takes about 20 minutes to get to the airport — or even less, depending on traffic. They also arranged a limousine for us, which made our transfer even more comfortable.

Review: a huge bathroom with double sink, automatic toilet, shower enclosure, bathtub and bathrobes. Each area had its own temperature control, I guess at least 3 zones. Automated curtains that can be controlled by a remote, or thorough the menu from the TV as well as just a tug at the curtains itself. Of course the swimming pool

Review: you HAVE to experience it. We were there on a Tuesday, so it was not crowded. Had an amazing time and made for some great pictures. Talking about pictures, we could not find a single spot inside or outside the property where we could click pictures with the Marina Bay Sands signage or lettering in the background. A branding wall would have made for a great photo op. You have access to Gardens by the Bay, Arts and Science museum, shopping mall and other attractions from inside MBS. Entry to the Arts & Science Museum comes complimentary. A kids attraction near the food court comes complimentary as well. Also a complementary boat ride inside the mall. Everything seemed extremely well planned and carefully laid out to make you feel right at home. However, strangely, the in-room coffee bar which had some items labeled as "complementary kids friendly snacks", are not free. It was an entire drawer with snacks and a placard mentioning it as complimentary. We regularly stay in 5-star properties and hence were already suspicious that MBS would put so many items as complementary. On checking with guest services we were told even though the placard mentions it as complimentary, none of the items is free. We are sure several guests must have to deal with confusing additional charges regularly. The Nintendo Switch as well seems to be a significant struggle for the hotel. They have "lost" quite a few of those to guests who assume it is complementary. It was hard for us to believe that guests would simply take a gaming console with them during check-out, but hey, this hotel is frequented by people from all over the world so who knows, it might actually be true. However, it made for some funny conversation during our in-suite check-in. After checkout, I realized I forgot an item in the room. On contacting them the next day, they promptly retrieved that and an additional item and asked me to collect them from the concierge desk. Made me even more happy! Also a great testament to the famous Sands Hotels top customer service. Overall a great experience and we were glad we stayed there for a night. We were 2 families and had booked 2 suites. We would definitely recommend everyone who can afford to stay at MBS hotel.
