Review: they just don't care, you will need to learn a crazy long manual to be able to know everything. yes, I did not read it and I understand why they do this(short of staff), so the moment I realized I had to make a reservation at least 1 day ahead for the gym was already too late, and u know what? the gym was a mess.

Positive points: The cleanliness was amazing, especially the bathroom. The location is good, easy to reach to transportation yet quiet in the night.

Positive points: 2nd time staying here at Mangrove Dongdaemun, it is always clean and very close to the attraction, walk around the corner and you are in a street with many shops and street foods outside. At night it is even better, walking to DDP. The room was big and got a view to the city and Namsan Tower it was amazing. The rooftop views are even better. Will definitely be staying here again next time I am in Seoul.

Review: I stayed in a single room for 6 nights and unfortunately, I will never return, nor can I recommend this hotel to anyone who expects a basic level of comfort, especially in warm seasons.nnThe core issue is that the hotel controls your room’s air conditioning. Yes, despite paying for a private room, you do not have full control over your own environment. The air conditioner is automatically shut off every morning at 9am — this is not speculation they openly admitted this in our chat (see screenshots). I tend to sleep in during the day, and waking up to a hot, stuffy room with no air circulation was unbearable. Why should I pay for a hotel room where I can't even decide when to cool it? nnEven worse, by the 5th night, the AC started turning off every 20–60 minutes during the night. I raised this issue with staff via their chat (note: there's no in-room phone for assistance). Their responses were dismissive and at times rude. One message even used capital letters (“NOT”) to correct me in a condescending tone, very unprofessional and irritating to read when you're already uncomfortable and tired.nnThey claimed the automatic shutoff is part of their “sustainability policy,” but honestly, if your hotel can’t provide basic comfort like consistent air conditioning, maybe rethink being in the hospitality business. Sustainability should not come at the cost of guest well-being, especially when no alternative solutions are provided.nnTo add to the discomfort, the shower curtain in the bathroom is so short that the entire toilet floor gets wet every time you shower. Not only is this inconvenient, but also unsafe.nnIn summary:n– The hotel disables AC every morning and intermittently at nightn– You cannot reach staff quickly in urgent situations (only via web chat)n– Staff responses were unhelpful and impoliten– Poor bathroom design adds to discomfortn– The room rate is not attractive (around 12K Korean Won per night incl. tax)nnnUnless you're someone who can tolerate sleeping in a stuffy room or you're traveling in winter, I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. You deserve better for what you pay.

Review: Located near DDP station. Room had lots of space and amenities (towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel) are included. There are common spaces for lounging as well, and free laundry.

Positive points: Its a new building (or maybe newly renovated), so its modern and clean. The communal spaces are very nice. nnVery close to public transporation (bus stops less than a minute walk, and 5 min walk to the subway).nnConvenient as well since there is a luggage room if you arrived before check in time. All of the check in & check out was done through a QR code so there was no hassle. nnAll in all a very nice experience.

Positive points: Great location, walking distance to metro station which has 3 lines. Room is clean and tidy.rnEverything is self-served from check-in / check-out / luggage storage / parcel pickup.rnThey allow me to send parcels to their mailroom before my arrival and I am able to find it easily myself.
