Lama Homestay Hoi An

Review: After six nights in Hoi An's old town, my boyfriend and I wanted a break from the crowds. We chose Lama Homestay for its serene and relaxing location...and ended up extending our stay by five nights for a total of 12!

The location is very strategic...15 minute bike to Old Town (via easy main roads or beautiful rice fields), seven minute bike to the buzzing Cua Dai road with little cafes, hip Vietnamese restaurants, a sushi restaurant, a bakery, an ATM, MiniMarts, massage places and more. In the same amount of time you can get to Cua Dai beach - though erosion has sadly damaged the closest beachfront, just head down the road five more minutes and you'll get to beautiful Hidden Beach. A bit longer and you'll be at the new popular beach area, An Bang.

We loved our delicious breakfasts every morning, friendly staff, laundry service and bicycle rentals. On sunny days we relaxed by the nice clean pool. Overlooking the rice fields was the most relaxing way to spend our time in Hoi An!

Review: We stayed here for 4 days and really enjoyed it. The staff is really nice and helps you with everything you need. The food is good and the location is beautiful. The room was incredible! We really enjoyed our time in Hoi An!

Positive points: Beautiful setting in between rice paddy's. We had spacious adjacent rooms on the level floor, very comfortable. Used scooter rental and laundry service, quite convenient. Mrs. Quý was an exceptional host, we loved staying at Lama Villa.

Review: My stay was based on a recommendation of a friend and the reality was even better than my expectations. The location is about a 10 -15 ride to the ancient city and probably the same to the beach. I rented a motorbike for a couple of days at $6 or $7 a day. The first day I stayed at Lama because the welcome was so nice and the pool was beckoning. The staff are lovely, the room was great, and the food was very nice. Loved it.

Positive points: Lama Homestay was my absolute favorite place to stay in Asia. I had booked 2 nights and ended up staying almost 3 weeks 🤭 I felt so welcomed and comfortable with Quy and her family that I never wanted to leave. For me the location was absolutely perfect having a scooter. The homestay is so beautiful, clean and luxurious and the bed the most comfortable I had slept in in weeks. And ohhh the little puppy who stole my heart 🥲 I miss the place and I hope to be back one day to stay even longer. Thank you so much Quy ❣️

Review: This is our 3rd time staying here. The staff are great and very helpful. We enjoy that it is a bit out of the way . If you want something with walking distance of the strip or the beach, this isn't the place. But if you are looking for a relaxing retreat where you can get in and out of town in 10 min this is a great place. The main beach is only about 10 min from the Lama.
The staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. If you need something let them know and they will do their best to help you out.

Positive points: Excellent hosts. Rooms are large clean and comfortable. The pool is a lovely place to have a dip. Easy access to the old town and the beach (though a bike or scooter is recommended). We felt like we received a 5 star service. Highly recommend you stay here.

Review: This is our third trip to Cam Thanh but first time at Lama Homestay. For those who don't want to stay in the centre of Hoi An, this is a fabulous option.

Positive points: Very nice and clean room. Pool is great. Hospitality of the family is so friendly. Great location. Quite and a bit outside of the tourist aerea. But still a lot of little nice coffees and shops arround. Bicycle or motorbike avalaible from homestay. In the nature and still near the beach and city. A very good choice.

Positive points: The whole experience was amazing! The room was great, breakfast and dinner have been excellent! We were welcomed very friendly and got help whenever or for whatever we needed it. We would 100% recommend!

Positive points: We enjoyed our stay with Quy and her family very much.
Our room was spacious with two balconies, overlooking the pool and the rice fields.
The bed was big, comfortable and all was very clean.
We recommend the pancakes for breakfast!

We used bikes and a motorbike to get around, highly recommended.
The town of Hoi An was very full of visitors so we enjoyef the peace and calm of our homestay.
The nearby restaurant „Fields“ is very good and romantic.
Near the villa there are some nice little cafes.

Review: The rooms are wonderful, so big and spacey and clean. Beautiful balconies opening on to rice paddies. The pool is great and very calm. The two sisters who run the place are so kind and lovely. It's a lovely bike ride in to town or a very short taxi, so you can enjoy the buzz of town and then come back to a peaceful bit of tranquility.

Positive points: We loved staying here - we stayed here previously some seven years ago when we were last in Vietnam and wanted to stay here again, as we had such found memories of this beautiful place and people. It's such a lovely place and so peaceful. I loved bike riding everywhere and my daughter who was unfortunately a bit unwell enjoyed resting in our room with amazing views and beautiful surroundings. We had a lovely time and were glad we booked to stay for a few days (as usually we would stay just for a night or two at other places).

Review: Lama homestay is about 15-20 mins cycle (bikes/scooters provided by the staff) or 5 min taxi (60-70000 VND) outside of Hoi An. Situated in a small village with rice paddy fields on either side, a well kept garden and small, clean swimming pool. Run by some beautiful Vietnamese ladies who will cook up an awesome meal of local specialities for breakfast, recommend the best restaurants and organise all your local tours/transport to the airport/cooking school etc. The homestay is well maintained and clean, beds are comfortable, rooms serviced daily. There are a few local restaurants should you not want to venture out too far. Wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely stay again if we were in the Hoi An area.

Positive points: Staff were excellent. Very helpful and always on hand. Great value for money and the location is great. 10 minute cycle to town and other attractions. So quiet surrounded by paddy fields.

Review: Lama Homestay Hoi An is a good hotel with a swimming pool. The room is clean, spacious and comfortable with a good view. The hotel is surrounded by the rice field and peaceful. You can see the birds sometimes. It is absolutely value for money. If you take bicycle, it is a 20-minute ride the ancient city.

Positive points: Peanut the host was amazing! She was so sweet and always made sure to help us in any way she could. I can only recommend this place!
