Review: I had high expectation of Jiwa Jawa because of the good reviews but I was left disappointed. My rooms (421 and 422) was small, poorly maintained. The room looked old and had a musky smell. The toilet was run down.The bath water alternate between cold and very hot even though the tap was not adjusted. My hair dryer was not working and there is not a single hanger to hang our clothes. It also had no view at all. Please note that not all rooms have the wonderful view mentioned in the review. Considering the price I paid, it is definitely not value for money. The only plus point would be the friendly staff and the nice lobby and hotel compound.
Positive points: Location and the surrounding enviroment..
Negative points: Room is quite stuffy..and the TV only have 5 channels.

Positive points: This is the 6th time we have stayed here and the staff are always very friendly and helpful. We were really pleased that there was a dessert awaiting us in our room. It was a nice gesture.
Negative points: As a repeat guest the staff know that we need to park such that we are guaranteed to be able to leave the hotel early morning for the races we go to Bromo to attend. This has been an issue in the past when we were blocked in and it took half an hour to find the owner of the car blocking us. If heading for a race start, half an hour delay is unacceptable.nThis will be the last time we stay at Jiwa Jawa as it again became a big problem. They phoned us 3 times and then came to our room after we were in bed, insisting we move our car. It was parked where staff had directed us to park but they didn't accept our reluctance to move it. Eventually we had to park it out on the steep, narrow road, with orange hazard cones around it, so that one of their VIP guests could park in the bay that had been assigned to us.nWhilst I know this type of status system operates in Indonesia, I find it unacceptable that we were literally harassed to accept that we were second class guests! Unbelievable!
Review: This hotel has no air con
Positive points: The staff at Jiwa Jawa are all very friendly and helpful and they kindly gave us an upgrade this trip. The room they gave us was fabulous and we were really thrilled with the size and location.nThe restaurant is also fantastic. Food is great and restaurant staff very professional.
Negative points: More effort needed on cleanliness. The window sills were full of dead flies and the soap dispenser was empty.
Review: Very good ambience with a nice courtyard. Well maintained lish garden and clean room. However, language is a barrier as most staff doesn't understand or speak English well and need to manage. Also, it would be better if they add more dishes in their menu as it is very limited and mostly local food that not every traveller might prefer.

Negative points: Tiny room. Strong mildew odor. Filthy bathroom (trash and debris in shower stall and feces on outside of toilet).
Review: Jiwa jawa was a pleasant stay for our trip. The staff imel, ayu and feri were so welcoming and helpful. We had an issue with our bus booking to Yogyakarta and they helped us book the Kai train with their personal account and even checked on us after we had left the hotel. The ambience of the resort is serene and peaceful with great view of the mountains. The restaurant and cafe food were delicious and the staff service was great. Morning breakfast buffet had a lot of vegetarian options. We booked the family loft which was clean. The resort arranged our jeep tour of bromo including catching the sunrise. Overall happy with the our stay and the hospitality of the staff. nnHowever, we were a bit disappointed that there was no functional gym as the website advertised it. There are also no fans in the room but given the mountain altitude it didn’t get too warm. There were some light stains on bedsheets and an occasional smell from the bathrooms but not something that bothered us too much.
Positive points: The hotel is nice and the common areas are well curated. nThe room was very small, not nice, the bathroom was poor and we had no electricity for the all night so we could not recharge the phones or dry our hairs. nnStuff has been very nice and accommodating and they give us a partial refund for the trouble.nnOverall a nice hotel but pricy for what you get.
Negative points: The rooms
Review: First time go to Bromo, after arrived at the hotel, the view and weather was so good.nBut after we checked in, the room has no air conditioner, i think that will be okay cause bromo has cool weather, but the room is so dusty, then in the middle of the night, after 01.00am, we can't sleep anymore cause its very noisy outside..nI think better insulation the room, and provide air purifier to reduce the noise and dusty.
Positive points: The resort is beautiful with a good restaurant. Staff are friendly and they helped us book the jeep tour.
Negative points: The room is very small and dated with very basic facilities

Positive points: Beautifully designed hotel with great views. Their restaurant has nice food and great service. Worked super well as a basecamp to Bromo.
Negative points: Our room is a bit small. Kindly suggest families with children or big luggage maybe choose another room type.

Positive points: The staff is really nice and food is tasty. Love their tradition local food.
Negative points: Didn’t find AC control in the room. Room is kind of cold and humid, especially the bed. The bed sheet and pillow is not dry enough to keep me warm during night.
