Positive points: One of the best aspects of this hotel is its location. It is close to several key attractions and amenities. The Temple of Literature is just a short walk away, making it easy to explore this historic site. We walk daily to the wet market nearby and feel the life of the local. It is a unique experience that few other hotels can give. The railway station is steps away. It was super convenient for us to catch the train to Nghe An, our next destination. rnrnThe staff were incredibly helpful and attentive. They went out of their way to ensure that all our needs were met. Kudos to the chef as well. Their free breakfast is top-notched with both western and local options.

Review: The hotel is located in a very good location and is value for money with a very good helpful staff.

Positive points: This is my second time staying here. I returned because the first experience was excellent. This time, they exceeded my hope. I am surprised how new the facility looks, although they have been in the business for many years. It seems like after the years, the hotel has improved a lot in service quality. They are clear and transparent in explaining beforehand my out-of-pocket expenses and any add-on that I might consider using such as airport rides. Breakfast options are top notch. I particularly enjoy the short walks to the Temple of Literature (5 mins) and the Old Quarter (15 mins) from this spot. It is close enough but also out of the way from traffic jams and congestions around Hanoi's hot spots.

Review: At the time of check-in, the room was just cleaned and smelled nice. The amenities were quite complete. The price was cheap as it included a buffet. The staff were enthusiastic and friendly.

Review: The staff upgraded us from deluxe to executive twin. Only downside is they only gave us one key for the room for two people, even if we requested for another one. Their response is that our option is that we can leave the key to front desk whenever we leave the room. We had breakfast at 7:30, the food trays were almost empty but was not replenished anymore. But overall, the stay was good, the staff are nice.

Review: My review is unbiased and dependent on my experience here. When we arrived here, no one bothered to help with our luggage at all. Then the room was tiny. It was absolutely not 36 sq m as claimed. There was hardly any walking space inside. Then the bathroom flush would not work properly. When we complained about it, we were told not to put toilet paper into toilet and instead put soiled paper into dust bin. Amazing!nnThen the curtain road broke that night and nearly fell on our head. We were told the hotel was full. Next day, we were suddenly told that they would move us into a upper level room.which we refused as we were told we would have to pack everything up ourselves and move.nnBreakfast was okay. Food was often finished and you would have to wait 20 mins or more to get some food. Sometimes there was no seating available at all.nnIn the end, we requested for a late check out by 2 hours which any hotel readily agrees. Instead we were told to pay 50% extra for it.nnI will be raising a complaint to Agoda about general attitude of hotel staff towards Indians.
