Review:
The owner was an incredible woman, she was joyeous and is an outstanding host.
She has built individual cabins that are impecable. The Homestay is located in a lovely indigenous community that has made itself clean , great community feel and very inviting.
UNIQUE INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE
Positive points: The most amazing evening spent with this lovely family wish I could give them 1000 stars….the happy water is dangerous though beware 🤣
Review:
We were 4 friends. The beds are very comfortable. The dinner was very great and for once, the hosts are with us !
Unfortunately, there was a group of Vietnamese people, very VERY noisy ...
Positive points: Friendly hosts, great food and a beautiful location.
Negative points: Your experience here will depend hugely on the other guests. I feel like on some nights it would just be a quiet dinner with the family, and others it will be a bit of a party.
Review: Amazing, lovely family. I completely enjoyed my staying here🥰
Positive points: We have had such a nice stay. The family was very welcoming and spoke good English. They made a delicious dinner that we shared with them. The bed was very comfortable.
Review: Perfect stay with a wonderful family! She made us vegan dinner and breakfast. The area is just beautiful and the whole family is so kind. Would recommend to anyone for a real homestay experience!
Positive points: Could not be better, it's a gem of a place.
Negative points: None, loved everything
Review:
We chose the homestay, because of the good reviews and weren’t disappointed. Because of blocked streets, the owner waited for us on the way and picked us up. When we arrived freezing at the homestay we instantly got a bonfire. The owner showed us everything and invited us to the family dinner. The food was absolutely amazing. We drank a lot of happy water together with the family and could ask any questions about the culture and their lives. The owner could speak very good English. They were super friendly and welcoming. The bed was comfortable and the room had everything we needed. The bathroom has a hot shower too. The whole stay in the homestay was really nice and in a very beautiful location in a village. We would absolutely recommend this place. They are doing everything with a lot of love.
Thanks for the nice stay and the wonderful food! Lots of love, Joyce and Markus
Positive points: Authentic and cozy home stay and the hosts were very friendly. Nice spot to stop while doing the loop, as it is quite close to Heaven's gate and the Lung Khui cave.
Review: We felt very welcome, when the owner welcomed us in her traditional clothing with green tea (so delicious). The showers were good, the food was a lot and we really felt we were in the family with the grandparents and children included. We drank a lot of happy water (self-made rice wine) and went to bed. The electricity was off, so no WiFi there but that is what you should expect when staying at homestays in Vietnam. We even played football with the locals on a field nearby. The place was so quite and you really feel a bit like them when you stay there. Recommend you to go there, it is worth it!
Positive points: Close to nature. Nice friendly hostess. We had a very nice hotpot dinner cooked by the host family with home produce from chicken to veggies, greens and also purple rice wine.
Negative points: Bathroom vanity drainage could be better designed to avoid flooding.
Review: We stayed at Hong Thu after our first day driving from Ha Giang to Quan Ba. This homestay is lovely and the host family is incredible. We shared a feast of Vietnamese food and corn liquor with the family and a few fellow travelers, which would become one of my favorite experiences the whole trip. Our very comfortable private room with the huge dinner and breakfast came to only 500,000 dong. I can't say enough great things about this place.
Positive points: Very nice Hosts, sweet little Bungalow, amazing food for dinner and breakfast
Review:
Had an amazing stay with Thu.
She is an wonderfull person and even better cook.
Seriously it was the best meal we’ve had on the loop.
Your experience off the loop is not complete without a stay here.
Positive points: We loved staying in this special homestay and having a lovely dinner with the other visitors. Pack warm clothes in case it’s cold at night and make sure to have dinner with the host, it was so enjoyable and she went out of her way to make vegetarian food!
Negative points: The bungalows might be a better option if you value more privacy as the rooms are only divided by thin wood, but this wasn’t an issue for us. :)
Review: All was good! Friendly, helpful, clean, hot water great food and atmosphere!
Positive points: The owner is very friendly and enthusiastic. Comfortable bed. It’s a really peaceful village. The house have good food. We will come back here.
