3.0 Fake Sea Side View and aggressive manager - Leo 29-01-2024

Positive points: The location is good.

Negative points: The Sea View Room is actually facing back to the mountains and blocked by a building. When I told the manager that they gave us the wrong sure, he started yelling very aggressively, saying that's the sea side view and there are no more rooms available.

Review: The good: n-location (amazing-directly across from the beautiful beach)n-view from the front sea rooms (gorgeous!)n-price (our sea view room was about $55 U.S. total)n-parking-we were able to park directly in front of the hotel-so convenientn-good, strong air conditioningn-the linens on the bed were very clean n-nice to have a refrigerator, bottled water, hot water pot, tvn-the balcony was so nice--nice to sit and look at the water from the balconyn-next to Pizza Rock (the best pizza in Taiwan)nnThe not so good: n-no staff there (we tried to stop by the hotel the night before we were planning to book just to check it out. The hotel was open but there was no one at the hotel desk. We decided to book anyway. We said that we were going to arrive at 2:00 pm the next day. At 2:00 pm, I arrived and still no one at the hotel desk. I waited for a while and then finally someone pulled up on a scooter. I don't speak a lot of Chinese, but, she didn't seem to be expecting me, so she called someone and checked me in. I'm not sure how long I would've waited for someone if this lady wouldn't have happened to show up. Coming and going over the next 20 hours, we never saw any other person in the hotel, no staff, no guests. No one was there when we checked out either.)n-not very clean. The lobby didn't smell good, and the floors looked like they could use a good mopping. Our room didn't smell, but the floors looked like they had not been swept or mopped. There was dirt and hair on them. The bathroom was mostly clean, but the floors also needed a good mopping. Also, there was mold on the sink and tub (I know how hard it is to keep things from molding in Asia). They did give slippers, but, I just really felt like the floors could have been cleaner considering how clean Asian floors usually are. n-no hand soap in the bathroom n-the towels were very thin from use and ripped while I was using itn-the bathroom was very Asian and didn't have a shower curtain.
