Great Mountain Views Villa Resort

Positive points: Our field school from the university of guam had the wonderful fortune to stay at this resort for two nights (our team was 12 people in total). It was magical in every way and we plan to return next year. The staff were incredible and we felt like family and the accomodations and food were both wonderful. Of course the most amazing blessing is to look up to Mt. Agung from this place and feel the blessing descend upon us throughout our time there.

Positive points: Great value and great view ! The staff was so nice and always so helpful also thanks to NIA for helping us with everything l ! My partner is especially coeliac , they made the meals gluten free and made us feel safe to eat it here and stay there for 2 nights! Hopefully they will have a gluten free menu soon ! Also the room has a water bottle that's a plus and the air-conditioning is great 👍nAnd they have a hair dryer too!

Review: We stayed 3 nights at Great Mountain Views which was enough to relax and recharge. The views are amazing and the location is very peaceful. As per other reviews the location is a bit remote with no other restaurants nearby, but I liked that it forced us to stop and be still. They offer lots of well priced day tours if you want to use it as a base to explore. There is a restaurant onsite which is good, but it wasn't as good as other places we ate. Wifi was weak in rooms but good at the restaurant (I was actually glad the room wifi was weak, forced break!). nI think 3 nights was enough for us due to the location. Overall a lovely stay.

Positive points: Lovely place to stay. Fantastic location to enjoy the view of Mt Agung. We stayed at the bamboo house. Very unique. Helpful staff are alwaysn there to help.

Review: The view is beautiful, as is the pool. The room itself was very stuffy with a persistent mold smell. We ran the dehumidifier and had to empty it several times per day, the humidity is so high. The wifi does not work in the room. It was pouring rain during our stay, and the electricity went out for more than 12 hours, so we felt a bit captive in an unpleasant room with uncomfortable beds. The only chairs were outside getting wet in the rain. We also had no hot water and poor water pressure, so only able to have a cold shower. The staff were responsive and attempted to fix this, but they were not able to maintain the fix. Given the cold wet weather and outdoor shower with no hot weather, it made our stay somewhat stressful.

Positive points: Been here before, and i'm back for a reason.rnLocation and view - if you're aiming to hike Batur or Agung, or simply want to stay in a secluded and unpretentious little resort with the most stunning views of Agung, this is likely the best option. Go for a room upgrade and get one with a view from your balcony.rnStaff - nice, genuine and and always available.rnFood - not the most extensive menu, but food is great all around.rnThe pool - lovelty

Review: This place is beautiful and very peaceful, host are very nice although our room was not cleaned during our stay and no fresh towels given. I think this may have been an oversight. nUnfortunately I had searched Sidemen on the Agoda app as that was where we wanted to stay and this place came up and looked nice so I booked it (not refundable) it was my fault that I did check the location on the map but this place is in Selat and not Sidemen. Thankfully we had a scooter and could get around.

Positive points: Incredible views of Mt. Agung. A bit off the beaten path, so expect to just stay there instead of leaving for meals. So peaceful and quiet. We upgraded to a mountain-view room and it was worth it. Strong wifi.
