Gili Teak Beach Front Resort

Review: I travelled with my wife, hard and an amazing experience with Gili Teak Resort. Harry and the entire team of Gili Teak helped us in every way possible and made our travel to Gili Travangan, The Most Memorable.

Positive points: It’s literally one of the best places we stayed in Asia. Marvellous greenery around, delicious breakfast included - a-la carte! Together with fresh juice and coffee. Very clean beach right across the resort. Nice interior, open-air bathroom. Super friendly and professional staff. Two bicycles included in the price.

Review: The staff is super enthusiastic, separated from other rooms, and the sound insulation is very good. The room is in Japanese style, and the space is large and comfortable. The breakfast is very delicious, a large portion, and there are also juice and coffee, which is very worth it.nnPs: The shampoo smells good.

Positive points: The hotel was really nice! We were given a welcome drink when arriving. The room was a nice private villa / cabin. The pool was really nice. The beach area / restaurant were so nice to sit by

Review: We stayed for 4 nights at Gili Teak and were very well looked after by the staff. Tucked away off the busy street the resort offers a peaceful way to escape the hustle and bustle. Breakfast can be enjoyed out on the beach with incredible views (or drinks/dinner). You get your own bikes, which are parked just outside your room which is incredibly convenient!

Positive points: I enjoyed my first four night stay that I extended my stay by four nights. 😊 The other accommodation options I looked at before extending my stay at Gili Teak lacked the full intimate beachfront, service and dining experience Gili Teak provided. The Gili Teak team succeeded in their mission to ensure I was happy for my entire eight night stay! My room had a pool and partial seaview. Great food served by the most thoughtful, warm, and kind staff. Free bicycle provided for my stay. The a la carte breakfast, served on the beach if you like, was consistently great. I had dinner on the beach every evening at the resort. I watched the sunset while dining on magnificent food. As another guest commented, Gili Teak is in the best place on the sunset side of the island. Quiet, chill, and surrounded by the best people ever - staff and guests. The best value for your money!

Review: Please note the following before booking: n1. The hotel room is old and gets extreemely hot during the dayn2. There is one small airconditioner which is as good as none.n3. The refrigerator is not functionaln4. There is no phone in the room for room servicen5. The room service is slow and inefficient.n6. There is no kettle for warming water for tea/coffee or other purpose.n

Review: Located on the west side of the island where you get to enjoy breathtaking sunset view.nWe stayed here 5 nights and throughout our stay, this side of the island was very windy with nice cool breeze.nThe beach and sea water on this side is quite dirty. The workers here say its because it's December and the rubbish gets washed up to this side. Apparently, other months, it's ok. Anyways I don't think it's a big issue per se because the way to truly enjoy Gili T is to beach hop to different parts of the island daily. If you want to see turtles and clear water, just ride a bicycle for about 20 minutes and you will reach the north side which is perfect for that.nThere are a total of 11 rooms here and each one is identical in design. The rooms are mostly made out of Teak wood. Love their outdoor bathroom that comes with an actual fish pond! The surrounding of the resort is filled with bright turqoise bougainvillea flower, beautiful!nAs for facilities, they have an outdoor gym (basic but has all the free weights i need), swimming pool (basic) and of course, opposite the resort is the white sand beach where there are lots of chars and hammocks.nFood wise is ordinary despite all the raving review online. Same ala carte breakfast daily and a small limited choice of menu.nOverall a value for money resort. Stay here for the teak wood room, very breezy wind and of course the sunset view!

Review: Gorgeous place tucked away from the hustle that is Gili T but close enough for you to get amongst it. nnThe staff are amazing. Always helpful and banter. nnCocktails are lush. Sunset hunting is fun right on the beach across the way, (I was there in rain season so more humid cloud cover but didn’t stop me sitting in the beach waiting for that ball of fire to go down!)nnThe bungalows are ace. Always cleaned perfectly. Blinds are frustrating and they are SO dark and internet is unreliable and you can’t buy the excuse of island living as it worked a treat anywhere else. But small thing … nnThe bikes are a welcome addition.nnAnd brekkie and food in general was great. (Pizza is great and banana pancakes. YUM!)nnThe tapas however are well over priced on the 2 for 3 deal. And shame they don’t have more Indonesian food on the menu. nnDeffo be back and would recommend. nnBrilliant memories that will be lifelong!nn

Positive points: Decent room size and outood shower was fun. Located little away from the harbour and makes it perfect for those looking to spend some quiet time, beautiful beach front.
