Review: Room was totally different with the picture. When I arrived, they bring me to my room name lotus room on ground floor, it was so tiny and smelly, nothing similar to the picture showed when booking… nI checked in for 10 mins then decided to speak to the host on phone as she wasn’t there at homestay. I paid 50% and then I left. Truly not able to breath 🤪

Positive points: Super friendly staff. Van and cleaning lady were very friendly and helpful. Amazing location, far from the chaos of Old Town, and right in front of the cutest coffee shop with amazing staff. Nice sized room, great AC, shower, etc. Highly recommend, and if I'm back in Hanoi I'll stay here again

Review: A very nice place and convenient . Most places are walking distance and Van is a very lovely person. I love that this place has a washing machine and dryer. nThank you for making my stay so enjoyable

Positive points: Our stay here was great. We communicated with the owner through WhatsApp since she was out of the city. She was always available and responsive. The room was clean, shower was great, the bed was comfy. It's very quiet which we prefer and we didn't mind at all the 20- 30 minute walk to the old quarter. When we didn't feel like walking, we took a bus. We would definitely come back!

Review: Hands down the best value in Hanoi. It’s a bit outside of the Old Quarter (30 min walk) but it’s a quick grab car/bike ride. The neighborhood is amazing, tons of cafes and a great banh mi place right at the corner. The room was exactly like it was pictured and it honestly felt like home. 10/10 recommend.

Positive points: The host is the most welcoming person I've met in Hanoi.nThe place is pristine and always clean. Any issue she ensures to sort it out asap. She made me fall in love with the entire trip because of the ease with which she was accommodative of keeping baggage while traveling to nearby places. She also recommended places to visit and eat both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. She also made sure that there is no hassle while checking in and out of the property.

Review: The accommodation is comfy and nestled in a tranquil neighborhood. There is also a parking area for bikes right next to the property. The host was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Would recommend!

Review: The host was lovely. The location is very convenient. The place is affordable as well compared to hotel. They also provide kitchenware, microwave, stove, and washing machines for free. Overall, we had a lovely stay at the space. 100% recommend.

Positive points: A quiet and comfortable apartment with a good-quality bed. Conveniently located near coffee shops, a convenience store, and local restaurants. The bed was comfortable and well-made, the bathroom was decent, and the apartment offered a generous amount of space.

Review: Best location for us to travel

Positive points: I stayed here twice in my time in Vietnam. The last time was during Typhoon Yagi. Van was incredibly helpful and thoughtful throughout my stay. She made sure I was happy and safe and even bought me some noodles to ensure I had food during the typhoon. I was so grateful to have her contact in such an uncertain time as a solo traveller 🙏🏻

Review: I have to say this is one of the rare times I would like to leave a review on Agoda, because this is one of my favorite homestays in Hanoi after many years. Located in a very quiet, secure area, surrounded by educated people, Chez Van is a great place to rest. Although I really liked the room picture (I stayed in Lilly room) on Agoda, the reality outside is even more wonderful and cozy. I love the bed and the window frames, blinds, creating a truly vintage and relaxing space. nnThe hostess is very friendly, cute, and I was lucky to be one of the first guests to stay here, so she helped and guided me very enthusiastically, attentively. If I could rate it, I would give it 9.5/10. I will save the remaining 0.5 for the next time I come back and review again. Actually, I still think that I will keep this comfortable experiement for myself, as a treasure of mine so that I can selfishly experience this wonderful ihomestay as the first time in the next time, but maybe I shouldn't be so selfish. 😆

Positive points: We just book 1 night at homestay. By the way, we have many wonderful moments while we stay. Ms. Van is so helpful and super friendly. She always available when there are a few issue. Beside that, she list many local food store, coffee shop or even kindly support to me. The room is very clean, tidy. The location is near some popular destionation as Hoan Kiem lake, Hanoi walkstreet and mostly in central Ha Noi. We love it. Highly recommend!
