Positive points: This place is nothing short of enchanting. As soon as we arrived a wave of peaceful energy washed over us. The grounds are gorgeous and well tended to. Bed is the coziest we’ve had on our trip. The outdoor bathrooms are luxurious and stocked with eco friendly organic products. The massages (and especially facial) were incredible. Staff were very attentive and always sweet. Sauna.. cold dip.. yoga space.. pool- everything was perfect!
Negative points: The food is a bit pricey but worth it to stay in the serenity of the retreat :)
Positive points: Nice hotel, good staff, we rented a scooter from the hotel(they don't have their own, but the make a call and bring one for you) food is OK but on the higher side expensive wise
Negative points: The access road is very very very bad if u ride a scooter, if u take a car is safer, they don't do a very good job at cleaning the place, and the outside shower, bathroom overall could use some trimming for the jungle that is going on over there

During my recent stay at Bhalance Retreat in Padangbai, Bali, I encountered several disappointments that marred my experience. The staff’s demeanor was notably unwelcoming, lacking the warmth and hospitality one might expect from a retreat setting. Interactions felt transactional, and requests were often met with indifference, leaving me feeling more like an imposition than a valued guest.
he retreat’s location also presented challenges. Situated approximately 1.1 km from Yeh Malet Beach and 2 km from Wates Karangasem Beach, accessing these areas required considerable effort, diminishing the convenience of exploring the local surroundings. Additionally, the proximity to major attractions was less than ideal, making spontaneous excursions cumbersome.
Positive points: Beautiful place has lots of potentials , however it was time they got a manager ,hopefully he will bring this place to what it is suppose to be , a quiet place to relax and enjoy yoga(no yoga teacher on the grounds to expensive to hire one ,I was told ) and wellness in a well taken care place .
Negative points: Food way over priced .We expected to take a yoga class , no teacher on the grounds ,,no manicure no pedicure available,,,,,the to road to the Retreat was awful with lots of bumps and holes , we could not walk to town , taxi was way over priced ,,,,you are basically stuck at the grounds,,,,

Our family loved staying in this exclusive resort. It was small and peaceful and just perfect for a break away from crowds.
The sound of nature all around was a revitalising experience.
Positive points: The staff is very nice, good location with mountain view, large confortable room.
Negative points: Nothing
Review: Impressies with the stunning view, the road to the location was quite bad though for the last bit. Bathtub outside was amazing, although there seemed to be a limited amount on hot water. The shower and toilet are outside as well which was a bit tricky because it was raining. Overall a wonderful experience though
Positive points: Amazing place in the middle of the nature. Very quiet and great food
Negative points: Cleanness could improve a little bit.
Negative points:
We stayed for one night in a wooden bungalow. Inside there was very strong SMELL of CHEMICALS for wood treatment.
We all (3 people) fell dizzy and unwell after spending few hours inside.
The road to reach the resort is very narrow dirt path through the jungle. We came with our own vehicle and it was very hard to find the place in the dark. The pin in google maps is on the wrong position! We didnt receive any information from the resort about the bad road condition or how to get there!
Extremly overpriced food menu! Fried rice for 98.000 IDR!!! No other warungs or restaurants nearby. Gojek food delivery doesnt want to deliver here.
Positive points: The retreat is really a hidden gem of peace and privacy. The staff was nice and helpful. Beds are comfortable, the food in the restaurant good, the massage exceptional. Please note that the hotel is not really closed to the beach, thus you need to rent a scooter (hotel staff helped us with this). This is the place if you want to be away from daily noise and traffic.
Negative points: Everything was exceptional, the only thing which was out of control of hotel staff was a jeko that decided to leave with us in the same bungalow 😂 The hotel staff did the most to find it and take outside, however couldn't do it and we had "to enjoy" it's sounds during the night. But all the other aspects that we enjoyed in this place, made this small incomodity very insignificant.
Positive points: It is very new and the surroundings are beautiful, the pool is big and nice but quite hot, the rooms are large and nice, it is very quiet and you have a vegetarian and vegan menu and Oat milk as alternative
Negative points:
Everything is far away, especially restaurants. The restaurant here is very good, but really expensive (3x more than in other locations.
Breakfast is not included. The toilet is always wet after showering, since there is no wall or anything
Positive points:
Peaceful, quiet and beautiful place surrounded by nature.
Just stayed for only one night because there was no room available
Loved the outdoor bathroom with bath and shower. Enjoyed a warm and relaxing massage
