Basil Homestay

Review: I arrived at Basil quite early, before check-in time, but the hosts still processed our room for us. The room is very spacious, affordable, and well-equipped. I booked a room for 2 people with 1 bed, but the room also has a very comfortable sofa, so one more person can stay. The water supply and electricity are good, the room is clean, and there is a mini fridge and water. The bedding is clean and also provided with extra.

Next to Basil is a vegetarian restaurant, and we happened to go on the day of the Buddha's birthday, so it was very convenient for breakfast and lunch. The hosts are very hospitable, offering us a free breakfast and fruits. There are bikes available in good condition for us to ride to Hoi An. Basil is close to the market, so it's very convenient to buy things.

I will come back here again if I have the chance to visit Da Nang and Hoi An!

Review: We are 3 girls travel to Hoi An and stay here for 1 night with big room. Home stay owner is very friendly and supportive men. It takes 10 minutes driving by bicycle to Hoi An town. Free bicycles are provided . If you are researching cheap and convenient home stay for your trip in Hoi An, Basil Home stay is highly recommended.

Review: I was stranded in the middle of Hoi A at 11pm at night without any way to get to Basil Homestay because the taxis and grabs stopped running that late. I contacted Basil Homestay, and the owner came in the middle of the night to pick me up and bring me to the Homestay!!! The rooms are very clean, the showers are strong, the beds are comfortable. It's a beautiful home and one of the nicest hostels I've stayed at in Asia.

Review: We had a fantastic stay at this homestay, located close to the center of Hoi An. Our room was exceptionally clean, bright, and very large, an excellent value. The staff was incredibly friendly and warm, and really cared about how we were doing and showed interest in where we planned to go in Hoi An. Next door to the homestay is a vegan restaurant that was cheap and delcious, and the homestay offered free bicycles to explore this charming town.

Review: We got great smiles and super good service the whole time we were here. Our double room was VERY spacious, super clean and definitely the best shower I have had in Vietnam. The location is a bit outside of the city in a calm neighborhood but we saw that as an advantage since it was also half way to the beach and they had free bikes. One advice could be to bring a flash light/headlamp for the bikes if you go to the city at night since the roads are not well lit during the whole stretch. Oh, and their restaurant on the property is really cheap (like 25% of what you pay in the city and they have local Vietnamese visiting it as well... we especially recommend the vegetarian hotpot.) The complementary breakfast was delicious with banana pancakes or omelets etc with large breads. Tea and coffee was also included. Oh, and the beds are kind of “tempur” mattresses that form to your body but are still quite hard to lie on so very comfy. The family was super helpful with giving advice and booking things for us. We definitely want to come back in the future!

Review: The basil home stay has been the best place we have stayed in Vietnam. We got the private double room,Incredibly clean and spacious and a great bathroom. The owners and staff are so friendly and kind and help you with any thing you need, from food, tours and private transport. Great location, with the best pho just down the road. They offer scooters and pushbikes, ancient town and the city is about a 15min ride away. We would defiantly reccomend this place and can't wait to come back!

Review: The staff was super nice and helpful. They arranged everything for me, picked me up at night and even stood up to prepare a coffee at 4am in the morning. Rooms are spacious and clean, the shower the best i have had in Vietnam so far. Though it's a bit outside of Hoi an, they offer you free bicycles and its a 10 minutes drive to the city center. Would absolutely recommend it.
