The owner really makes sure you feel welcomed there, provides customized information about the area depending on your tastes and interests, and overall strives to make feel like you're staying with friends and family. Breakfast is included (either eggs or pancakes), which is cool. You can arrange taxis to/from the airport or train station in Danang the owner can also help with bus tickets.

The hostel is not in the old town per se but close enough. You can bike there in 10-15 minutes ... or get a 2 dollar taxi on Grab app that will take you there in 5 minutes.

The private bed I got was huge, the bed too and very comfortable.

Đánh giá: I really loved my stay at Cheerful Hoi An Hostel! Every day breakfast was great, and the bed was comfy. Especially, the host, Hien, made such a difference. She is such a generous person and makes the hostel feel like a home. She took us to a local restaurant where we ate together. On another day, her friend cooked rice pancakes at the hostel and shared them with everyone, which was tasty and a full local food experience! If you’re not into parties but want to socialize and chill, this is the place to stay. Thanks again Hien!

Đánh giá: Firstly i would like to personally thank mrs hien. She was a lovely lady,who made me feel at home. Whatever you need, be it booking for tours,spa,transfer she will help you with it. Also the breakfast menu is simple yet delicious. I will be definitely coming back here to stay for a few more days.

Đánh giá: Hien is the star of the hostel, the sweetest and amazing host. She takes care of everyone like family, helps with itinerary everyday, waits for us to come back and makes sure to have a conversation with us at the end of the day. She even packed me food for my early morning flight. One of the hostelmates lost a wallet when they went out for a day tour and it took her only about 15 minutes (that too late in the night) to get to the bottom of it. The street food tour was amazing. She's an inspiration and I hope to be back soon!

The hostel rooms are clean.
There’s no luxury here, but you get everything you need. Free breakfast every morning, fresh baguettes with eggs and delicious pancakes.
It’s a small hostel, don’t expect any parties or big crowds. But people who choose to stay here are great, everyone seemed to get along well.
I stayed here for 7 days and I wish I could stay longer.

The owner, Dieu, creates such a warm atmosphere and she is always happy to provide recommendations for all things Hoi An - whether it be the best food spots, daytime activities, or tailoring joints.

A fantastic (complimentary) breakfast is also prepared for the guests each morning, which is a great way to meet new people and to plan for the day ahead (especially if you're a solo traveller).

Điểm cộng: The Cheerful Hostel in Hoi is a fantastic place to stay! The hostel is impeccably clean, with cleaning done twice a day. Rooms are spacious and in excellent condition, with beautifully painted murals that create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Drinks and snacks are offered at very fair prices, and the breakfast is absolutely delicious.

What truly sets this hostel apart, however, is Hien, likely the friendliest hostel owner in all of Vietnam! Her warm, humorous, and open-hearted personality makes you feel right at home. Hien knows Hoi An incredibly well, and her recommendations were always spot-on. She even treated the entire hostel to a home-cooked meal, adding a wonderful, personal touch to an already perfect stay. Highly recommended!

Đánh giá: Cheerful hostel felt like home! Hien is a wonderful host, very warm, welcoming and she will treat you like her own family member. She arranges a lot of activities and ice breaking sessions so that no one feels left out. She will always help you get the best deals for tours, shopping, cab rides etc. The hostel itself is very clean and the staff makes sure it stays that way, the beds are comfortable and the location is perfect and it's pretty close to the old town. Choose this hostel for your stay without a doubt, you won't regret it.

Location is great, old city is walkable and it takes 20min to get to the beach while you can get a bicycle in the hostel.
