Bali Moon Guest House

Đánh giá: More of a homestay rather than a guesthouse run by an elderly Balinese couple set behind a small padi field in a back lane close to the busy central area of Ubud. We stayed a total of 5 nights.
Although the place seemed to have the kind of quiet and relaxing ambiance which we were so much looking forward to, our stay was abruptly totally spoiled by the host's behaviour on our 2nd day, all because of flat batteries in our a/c remote control. Rather than simply getting a new set of batteries, the owners indirectly insulted us in front of other guests at breakfast by insinuating we did not know how to use the remote. Refusing to let go from his standpoint, the husband remained unrelentingly argumentative, showed us no respect and made us suddenly feel very unwelcome. He was rude and unreasonable (implied that we made his teenage daughter cry over the flat battery incident) wanting to argue with us whilst we were trying to eat our breakfast) and being out to ruin the rest of our stay. Unfortunately, we were unable to change our plans and we had no choice but to stay to the end. From then on, however, he stayed out of sight.
My advice - avoid this place at all costs.

Điểm cộng: This place became my home away from home! I loved everything about my stay here! Wayan and her family who care for the homestead were incredible. The complimentary breakfasts was fantastic, the environment- cozy quiet location close to everything you need and the center! My room was beautiful! I cannot wait to come back and stay at Bali Moon! Miss it so much already!
If you want to travel and feel a part of the culture and community, this is the place to go!

Điểm cộng: Great place to stay. It’s quiet, yet close to everything you might need. The family was wonderful and the best freshly made breakfast!!! Room was very clean with daily service. Water was also offered so bring your container to reduce plastic waste.
Walking distance to Chora Restaurant which I highly recommend for a treat.

Điểm cộng: The owners and the staff was very kind and helpful. The staff was making sure that the room stay clean all the time. Location was amazing, as you have access to all facilities (restaurant, coffee shops, supermarket, pharmacy and massage center) you are few minutes away from landmarks like (Ubud palace, Ubud market and many other things). The house style and decorations was stunning ( Authentic Balinese style).

One suggestion: put a shower curtain near the tub.

Điểm cộng: Bali Moon Guest house was our home for 4 of our 5 nights in Ubud! We received a warm welcome and coffee from host Wayan upon arrival. She and her husband Made, and their two adult children Ray and Nanik run this wonderful guest house together. Our stunning room featured a covered porch, comfortable four-poster bed, and a terrific, airy bathroom with a beautiful tub, handheld shower and hot water. We slept well at night, with minimal noise, and none from Ubud's busy streets (the hotel is located far back from them). While there was no AC in our room, a ceiling fan and roomy mosquito tent kept us perfectly cool and bite-free (truly no single bite during our stay). Breakfasts were just terrific - mixed juice, Balinese coffee, and quite a few delicious options, including perfect Mie Goreng! The location is perfect - a 10 minute walk to the Royal Palace and a 25 min walk to the Monkey Forest. It’s a quiet spot off the main road with rice paddies in front and back. Many terrific restaurants and shops are within a 10-15 minute walk. The best part was Wayan, her family, and cute dog Helle. We felt their genuine care and pride in their culture and religion. It was important to them to ensure we had a good visit in the city they’ve called home their whole lives. They helped us with everything we needed, from finding good dances to see, to getting a very good driver (their son Ray).

Đánh giá: It is very quiet and if you book a room on first floor, there is view to the rice paddies (at least there is still now) . Nice compound. Very good copious breakfast.
Need few improvements and that would be even better value for money.

Đánh giá: Nice welcoming by the owners. Balinese atmosphere is perfect there. Near to café lotus although quiet location. Many good restaurants around (rouge, café des artistes)

Điểm cộng: Very quiet location, but easy walking distance to the city centre. Clean and comfortable, lovely view from the room, and we enjoyed the daily breakfast.

Đánh giá: A nice place to stay, rice fields in view. I had a small room, but was absolutely ok with a nice balcony lookung on the rice fields. Very friendly staff.

Điểm cộng: Friendly hosts, excellent breakfast, and quiet yet convenient location. The compound at Bali Moon Guest House is so beautiful. It was like staying at a museum. We will definitely choose this lovely place again when we come back to Bali.
